Cádiz

The last leg of our Andalusían trip – Cádiz. Our couchsurfing host from Seville kindly drove us to the city, albeit shoved Barbate in our itinerary. Not complaining. We’ve heard this coastal town has a reputation for its drug trade, which isn’t what a first-time visitor nor the local would appreciate to hear. It seemed like a ghost town and felt neglected in most parts nonetheless we were just as keen to get to know the place through the eyes of our hosts.

As for Cádiz itself, I could barely remember where we went and what we did. It felt like an endless walking tour with our host as our guide, telling us anecdotes, 99% of which, unfortunately, escaped me as I constantly look to my left and right, snapping away.

I’ve yet to become an informed tourist.
